A romantic weekend in Noordwijk, at your own pace

Two nights give you time to see Noordwijk without turning the weekend into a checklist. This is the rhythm we suggest to guests who come for the sea, quiet time together and a private sauna at the end of the day.

Friday: arrive and leave the week behind

Check in from 15:00, put your bags upstairs and make coffee in the compact kitchen. The whole guesthouse is yours, so there is no reception schedule once we have welcomed you.

If there is daylight left, walk to the beach before dinner. A short stretch by the water is enough to change the pace of the day. Back at the house, turn on the sauna and let it warm while you choose where to eat.

Saturday morning: breakfast without a timetable

Order breakfast and tell us how you like your eggs. We add warm bread, juice, cheeses, yoghurt and fruit, then bring everything to the guesthouse. You can eat inside or in the garden when the weather suits it.

The centre of Noordwijk takes about fifteen minutes to reach on foot. Browse the shops, stop for coffee or continue towards the sea. There is no need to plan each hour before you arrive.

Saturday afternoon: dunes or a long beach walk

Noordwijk sits in National Park Hollandse Duinen. Choose a marked route through Hollands Duin, walk south towards the Coepelduynen or stay on the broad beach and turn back when you have had enough wind.

We keep local route ideas in the guesthouse and can suggest a distance that fits the weather. Bring a layer even on a bright day; the wind near the North Sea can feel cooler than the streets behind the dunes.

Saturday evening: your sauna, your time

The sauna belongs to your summer house and no other guests use it. Allow about twenty minutes for it to warm. Bathrobes and towels are ready, with a rain shower beside the sauna when you want to cool down.

There is space to go out again after the sauna, but staying in can be the better plan. Make a drink, put on music and take the evening slowly.

Sunday: one more look at the sea

Check-out is before 11:00. An early beach walk leaves enough time for coffee before you pack. If you prefer a long breakfast, save the sea for the drive or train journey home.

Tell us what you enjoy before you arrive. We live nearby and will share the places we return to ourselves, from a quiet dune path to a table by the water.
