Noordwijk in springtime

April is my favourite month of the year. The tulip fields blooming everywhere. The swallows and terns return and the days are long again. The promise of summer is in the air.

Before you know it, it's 20 March and Keukenhof opens it's gates, wich also marks the start of the bulbflower season in Noordwijk.

To help you make the most of your visit to Noordwijk, here's an overview of events you can expect this spring and summer.

20 MARCH

Opening of Keukenhof. Theme: Van Gogh.

25-26 APRIL

Bulbflower Parade (Bloemencorso). This year's theme: "200 years Kingdom".

24-26 APRIL

Holland's Most Beautiful Traffic jam (De Mooiste File van Nederland).

16 MAY

The finish of the International Historical Tulip Rallye in Noordwijk.

13-14 JUNE

Markt onder de Linden (market with lots of gardening, flowers, furnitures, food, drinks) in the historical centre of Noordwijk Binnen.

8-9 AUGUST

Flower Parade (Rijnsburgs Bloemencorso)

5-9 AUGUST

Flower festival (Kapel aan Zee).
